11. - Patination

When the metal has been cleaned and all imperfections removed or filled it's time to add colour.  Patination is the final, almost mythical finish applied to a bronze, it has been likened to alchemy as with the addition of chemicals and heat in various mixtures and temperatures the patination artist can dictate the final colour and sheen as envisioned by the sculptor.
